NewNet Internet Phone
Thank you for purchasing the NewNet Broadband Internet Phone service and router.
Your router will be configured and dispatched to you within a few days of ordering this service.
Please take a few minutes to read through the following important information about the NewNet Internet Phone Service.
Your VoIP router contains two phone lines, the main phone number for the router is the one you specified upon sign-up.
You will receive your router preconfigured, but if required, you can re-program it yourself. The settings to do so can be found within your introductory 'Broadband Internet Phone' email.
VoiceMail
We provide a free voicemail service. You can access the voice mail service by dialing *1 from your phone.
Alternatively, you may dial 0845 684 8846 from any telephone line.
When prompted, enter your mailbox number and your pin code which can be found within your introductory 'Broadband Internet Phone' email.
If you are off line, then messages will be taken and forwarded to you via email.
Who Can I Call?
Once you've got your account working, please try and make some test calls. Obviously, you can ring any non-premium rate phone number on the public network (including international numbers).
If you agreed to pay via Direct Debit then you will be billed for calls on a monthly basis, otherwise prepay credit is required for making calls to PSTN numbers.
You can add credit at: http://voip.newnet.co.uk/login/credit
Calling other NewNet Users
You can ring your friends who are also using NewNet VoIP or are a subscriber on a service we connect to for free. Simply dial their phone numbers - please check the cross calling page for connected services and dial codes
Echo TestM
Ring 160 for an echo test. This will replay your voice to you as it is received so you can determine the latency on the service.
