As of February 2010, NewNet became part of the Timico Group, a leading Unified Communications Provider with expertise in Internet, VoIP, fixed telephone, and mobile services.

Over the last 15 years, the NewNet Management Team has continually lead NewNet to strive for market leadership, innovation, and to expand the brand’s global presence. Now at a pivotal point in our trading career following our acquisition into the Timico fold, NewNet is set for rapid growth over the next 24 months with the guidance and support of the new Board of Directors:

 

Tim Radford
Chairman

Following the acquisition of NewNet, Timico Chairman Tim Radford has also taken the helm as NewNet Chairman. Tim founded the Project Telecom Group in 1987 and managed its development and growth as an independent telecommunications service provider. The company floated on the London Stock Exchange in September 2000 and continued to grow rapidly, achieving revenues of £330m in 2002. In September 2003, the company was successfully sold to Vodafone for £162m.

Jonathan Radford
Finance Director

Jonathan qualified as a chartered accountant in 1984 with Peat Marwick. In 1986 he joined Stag Furniture plc and subsequently became Group Company Secretary and then Group Finance Director. From 1996 until 2001, Jonathan was CEO of Elit Group, one of the largest manufacturers of men’s formal wear in Europe and since then he has become a Director, investor and Chairman of a number of small and medium size businesses. Jonathan was a founding shareholder of Project Telecom.

Paul Schneider
Sales Director

Paul joined the NewNet team in November 2007 as Sales Director having previously spent 5 successful years in the Comms Industry with a London based VNO. In total Paul has spent over 17 years in sales and his expertise has proven integral to NewNet’s growth over the last two years. Paul manages NewNet’s diverse Sales Team which consists of departments including New Business, Business Development, Broadband & Hosting Sales, and Marketing.

Calum Malcolm
Operations Director

Calum has over 20 years experience within the Telecoms industry, and has spent the last 10 years within the ISP and SaaS sectors.
With his previous appointments including General Manger of Solution1 Internet Services, CTO of Siemens Solution1, Head of VoIP/IP Consultancy Siemens Communications and Technical Manager Northern Europe MCI; Calum will be an essential influence on the expansion of NewNet in his new position of Operations Director.
