The 2007 Lloyds TSB Insurance British F3 International Series was
officially launched at Silverstone, the home of British motor racing,
on Thursday 15th March. Formula 3 has long been regarded as a stepping
stone to F1 Grand Prix and last year's champion, Mike Conway, has now
been signed by Honda F1 Racing team.

2007 the grid featured 33 cars, 22 in the Championship including Leo
and Greg Mansell, sons of former F1 World Champion Nigel Mansell.
The NewNet sponsored entry, driven by Michael Meadows (right), competed
in the National class alongside 10 other entries.
The F3 season began with the first race meeting at Oulton Park on April
9th (Easter Monday). The series continued with a programme visiting 7
major circuits in the UK (including Silverstone, Brands Hatch and
Thruxton) together with 3 race meetings in Europe. The European
programme included circuit meetings at Monza and Spa-Francorchamps
together with an exciting street race in Bucharest.
The UK F3 series followed alongside the British GT, Formula Ford and Volkswagen events.
