Business benefit
Businesses that choose the NewNet Extension Service
will benefit from a high speed, Internet data circuit,
offering secure and reliable bandwidth for the
transmission of data, voice and video via NewNet’s
points of presence.
Back up options
All NES circuits are connected via dual redundant POPs
ensuring that in the event of failure your Internet
connection will remain active.
Resiliency is important to your business, so we
recommend an SDSL circuit as the ideal back up to our
high speed NES services. In the event of a network fault,
your circuit will fail over to a 2Mbps symmetrical DSL
circuit so that business critical traffic such as e-mail can
continue to be delivered.
Service coverage
NewNet has 11 core network points of presence (POPs)
across the south covering: Basingstoke, Bracknell, Cosham,
Fareham, Gosport, Guildford, Havant, Portsmouth Central,
Portsmouth North, Reading and Waterlooville.
How NES works
NewNet will provide a local access circuit between your
office and the nearest NewNet point of presence. We will
then backhaul the traffic over our multi GB network to the
Internet. This circuit acts as your own dedicated pipe to
the Internet and is fully monitored 24x7 to ensure it is
available for your business at all times.
NES also offers a scaleable bandwidth feature, this means
that you can increase your bandwidth on demand within
hours.
When you order NES, NewNet will provide you with a fully
managed router, delivering the service to you as Ethernet
to plug directly into your firewall or LAN.
Additional cost savings on
infrastructure and support costs
You have the option to combine a NES circuit with
Colocation services at one of our 5 data centre facilities.
Whether you want to move servers from your offices or
set up a Disaster Recovery solution, NewNet can manage
all of your inter-office connectivity, hardware and security
needs in one solution thus reducing the need to deal with
multiple suppliers which can be costly.
