Uploading files to your website using Filezilla

Start FileZilla

Select ‘Edit’ then ‘Settings’

Select ‘FTP’ on the settings dialogue box. Then set the transfer mode to ‘Active’ and click OK.

At the connection fields, enter the Hostname, username and password as per your instructions from NewNet. Set the port number to ‘21’ and then click ‘Quickconnect’. You should see “Directory Listing successful” in the message window and your directories listed.

You can create additional directories by right clicking in the existing directories window and selecting “create directory”

Then enter the name you’d like to give your directory and click ‘OK’

You should see your new directory listed. Double click to open

You can browse to the directory on your local machine or network where your files to upload are being held

Right click on the files you’d like to upload and then select “add file to queue”. Do this for all remaining files.

When you have added all files to the queue, right click in the queued files and select ‘process queue’.

After the queue has been processed, the files should be listed in the directory you created earlier.

To Close the connection to your website directories, click the ‘Break Connection’ button on the toolbar.

You should see “Disconnected from server’ appear in the message window, and your directory listing disappear.

Exit FileZilla.
