Internet Connection - Windows ME

On your desk-top, double-click My Computer

Double-click on Dial-Up Networking.

Double-click on Make New Connection

Enter Newnet into the Connection Name field.

Click Next

In the Area code: field enter 0845 and in the Telephone number: field enter 0088822

Click Next

Click Finish

In the Dial-Up Networking window Right-click on the Newnet Icon you have just created and select Properties

Select the Networking Tab

Select Enable software compression

Select TCP/IP

Click TCP/IP Settings...

Select Server Assigned IP Address

Select Specify Name Server Addresses

Enter Primary DNS: 212.87.64.10

Enter Secondary DNS: 212.87.64.11

Click OK

Click the Security tab

Enter your User name in the User name: field

Enter your logon password in the Password field

Select Connect automatically

Click the Dialling tab

If you want to select NewNet as your default Internet connection place a tick next to: This is the default Internet connection.

Next place a dot in the radio button next to: Always dial my default connection.

You can also enable Dial-up Networking to disconnect if idle for the time specified.

Click on OK

Your NewNet dial-up is now ready to connect to the Internet.
