Configuring Netscape Communicator 4x

Setting up a filter in Netscpae Communictor/Messenger

1. On the tool bar click edit and Message filters.

2. You will then be presented with a message filter window.
2a. Click the "New" button

3.  You will then be presented with a "Filter Rules" Window
3a. In the "Filter Name" box place an appropriate title.
3b. Check the "match any of the following"
3c.  In the 3rd line use "subject" of the message "Contains" {spam?}
3d. The next box ensure that it has "delete" in it.
3e.  Description Box: place an appropriate description.
3f.   Click "OK"

4.  The "Message filters box will be presented again.
4a. Click "OK"

Your filter for unsolicited / spam email has now been created.
