Configuring Microsoft Outlook Express

Setting up a spam filter in MicroSoft Outlook Express

1. On the tool bar go to Message, then Create Rule from Message.

2. The "New Mail Rule" window will appear.
2a. In section 1 tick the "where subject line contains specific word"
2b. In section 2 Choose appropriate tick box i.e. "delete it"
2c. In section 3 click on the underlines word "contains"

3. The following window will appear.
3a. In the top box place the following: {spam?}
3b. Click "add" this will place the word in the bottom box.
3c. Click "OK"

4. This will bring you back to the "New Mail Rule" window.
4a. Click "OK"

5. You have now created a filter for email with {spam?} in the subject line.
