Powerhost Support - Signing Up A Customer Account
The PowerHost Reseller account setup charge includes a 2 hour training session in the creation of the package.
1. To create a customer on your new hosting package click on the “Signup” link on the main menu to view all currently active packages available to you.
2. Click on the “Select” link next to your new hosting package to open the signup wizard. Follow the wizard through, entering your customer information as prompted. For the purpose of this example make sure you select “Register a 3 rd level domain” and enter “something.[your subdomain]”. This will allow you test the end user control panel without needing to transfer any of your own domains to the system.
3. Once the wizard has completed, click on the “Moderate” link in the main menu of your administrative control panel, select the order you just placed and choose “Create” at the bottom of the page (after checking the order details).
4. You will now be prompted to enter the payment details for the order. Any payment amount over the actual account cost will be stored in the control panel as credit against your customer’s account that can then be used for hosting options, upgrades and renewal payments.
5. An email should have been sent to your customer providing details of the new account and how to access their control panel.
Additional Hints:
- You can customise most email text using the options in your administrative control panel at “Look And Feel” > “Misc. Texts” and “Settings” > “Custom E-Mails”.
- VAT can automatically be added to prices using “Settings” > “Taxes”.
- The “Search” facilities let you find any of your customer accounts, log into their control panels and also suspend/resume/delete accounts.
The “Look And Feel” options allow you to re-brand the Powerhost control panel for your own customers.
