Similar to our NES service, Ether Direct has been exclusively designed by NewNet to offer a cost-effective leased line-class solution for businesses. Ether Direct offers all the key features of a typical leased line (24×7 availability, fully synchronous, uncontended service) but has been designed to deliver a cost-effective fixed bandwidth of between 2Mb/s to 16Mb/s.

Any business that is within 3KM of a NewNet exchange can benefit from an Ether Direct service that delivers a reliable and secure method of transferring critical business data at an affordable rate.

Ether Direct Pricing

Ether Direct is available in the Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey regions, with set up costs from £1995, and annual costs from £3995.

How does Ether Direct work?

EtherDirect is delivered via a local access circuit between your office and the nearest NewNet point of presence within our LLU regions, with speeds of between 2Mb/s and 16Mb/s. This circuit acts as your own dedicated pipe to the Internet and is fully monitored 24×7 to ensure it is available for your business at all times. Bandwidth can be increased in 2Mb increments up to a maximum of 16Mb, at any time.

SLA and Fault Resolution

‘Enhanced Care’ 0 – 20 hour resolution – In the unlikely event of a service fault, Ether Direct clients have the reassurance of a 0-20 hour fix time with our Enhanced Care SLA. This service is included free of charge with all Ether Direct services.

‘Enhanced Care Plus’ 0 – 5 hour resolution – For urgent faults, Ether Direct clients can choose to upgrade to an Enhanced Care Plus SLA that provides a 0-5 hour fix time. Costs will be no more than £250 + VAT per fault.
