As one of the few purpose-built ground stations situated on the UK South Coast, NewNet’s satellite facility offers a prime location and quality of service to locate your first satellite, or expand your current satellite portfolio.
Robust Security and Resilient Infrastructure
By colocating your satellite equipment in a NewNet secure Ground Station, you will ensure your mission critical hardware, supporting equipment and infrastructure is protected from intrusion and theft, as well as reducing the potential risk of fire and flood.
The entire satellite colocation site is within a secure walled environment with remotely monitored CCTV surveillance at all times. For extra peace of mind, the NewNet site is manned by security personnel 24×7.
All cabins are heavy duty Elliott construction with automatic Inergen fire suppression provided. Intruder alarms are fitted to all cabins and remotely monitored along with temperature control sensors. Dual air handling units supply cooling as required.
For resilience in the event of a power failure, UPS systems are in place to ensure a continuous power supply. The site is dual fed at 11kW and each cabin is dual fed a 440V 3-phase supply. Resilient power supply protection is further provided by a diesel generator (7 days fuel available on-site) which will start within 10 seconds of a power failure.
